Summer Radio Daze

So now the transmission dates are in, it seems we have a perfect storm in week 29, which, in normal parlance is the week of the 8th July. This means that for hyper-supportive Top Dog radio fans (basically our mums, though some are a little bit on-the-fence) they can enjoy The Music Teacher on the 10th, Hobby Bobbies on the 12th and Richard Tyrone Jones's Big Heart on the 14th.

Big Heart - blood pumping

Yesterday saw the first readthrough of Richard Tyrone Jones' Big Heart which will air later in the summer (if summer ever comes). We at Top Dog like to have a preparatory bash at the script with the actors in advance of recording to make sure that the script is as shiny as can be, and some excellent discoveries were made in the room with our smart and savvy cast.

Music Teacher 3 - In pre-production and cast confirmed

The scripts are written. We can confirm the presence of some jokes. That means that we now have to set about making ridiculous instrument noises.  We've nailed a pedal-powered synthesiser but if anyone knows where we can get hold of a Crumhorn or Sackbut at a knockdown price, don't keep it to yourself.

Radio 4 have commissioned Top Dog to produce a series of 3 shows based on Richard Tyrone-Jones' "Big Heart". For his thirtieth birthday RTJ, the healthy, gym-going “Ringmaster of Spoken Word” (★★★★-ThreeWeeks) at Edinburgh’s Free Fringe got an unexpected present: heart failure.

Stormchasers hits the airwaves on 31st December
